The 15-minute short narrates the story of a high school girl who has been stuck in a weird circle of drug dealing. On a stressful morning when she has an exam, she has to overcome the worries of another dangerous mission too. She must deliver a pack of cocaine to a client.

The cast list for ‘Exam’ includes Hadis Miramini, Sadaf Asgari, Masih Kazemi and Elaheh Afshari.

The Sundance Film Festival in the US, the Port Land Int’l Film Festival in the US, the Tampere Film Festival in Finland, the Creteil Int’l Women’s Film Festival in France and the Palm Springs Int’l ShortFest in the US have been some of the global event that have already screened the short.

Besides, the Sundance event has also awarded the film with the Special Jury Award for Best Actor which was given to Sadaf Asgari.

Launched in 2014, the Still Voices Short Film Festival started off as an event to accept films from local directors. It then grew to become a venue for international works. It currently is among the biggest short film fests in Ireland.

The upcoming edition of the SVSFF will take place on August 13-16, 2020.
